My name is Linda Hanson. I am faculty in nursing education
at Presentation College. I have been at the college since
1990 which is so amazing as it seems only a few years ago
that I was a graduate from the college myself. My main areas
of interest and expertise are maternal child health care,
nutrition, and mental health. I have been in nursing for
over 32 years and have continued to work at my local
hospital as a maternal child nurse as well as a lactation
counselor. I am a member of Rho Xi Chapter 420 of Sigma
Theta Thau International at Presentation College. We have
been a SSTI chapter since 2000 and I have held offices
within the chapter. I am married to a wonderful man for 32
years who has supported me through my years of going for my
BS and MA in nursing. I have 2 children-my son is working on
his PhD in Physical Therapy at the University of Tennessee
and my daughter graduated with her degree in Youth Social
Ministry in May of 2009. She is married to a high school
teacher here in Aberdeen. I love to snowmobile, golf, sew,
and read.
