Margie Washnok has been a full-time nursing faculty for
eighteen years. Dr. Washnok is an ANCC board certified since
1991 as a Clinical Specialist in Community Health Nursing
and since 1996 she has been certified through the South
Dakota Board of Nursing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. She
is also a NLNAC Site Visitor and a NLN Ambassador for
Presentation College.
Margie’s areas include community health/public health
nursing, pharmacology, health promotion/disease prevention,
curriculum, and leadership in nursing clinical. She presented in
June 2009 at the Drexel Nursing Education Conference. She is a
contributor to the newest textbook by Cengage Publishers for
the NCLEX-PN 2nd edition, published spring
2010. Margie is a member of ANA, STTI, Rho Xi Chapter,
NLNAC, and
NNINA. She is also a co-advisor for the Presentation College
Nursing Student Association.
Margie is married with two adult children. She enjoys
traveling on their Harley Davidson motorcycle, spending time
with family and friends, cooking, and gardening.
